[ARCHIVED] LEAF COLLECTION--WHERE ARE THEY NOW???

IMG_4362-2

DUE TO RAIN & LEAVES IN THE GUTTERS....On Tuesday, November 5th, leaf collection will start in Brookside (#3) at Merwin. Once the weather dies up, the crew will be back to Worthington Hills starting on the east side of Fairway at Clubview (#46 on route) to Copperfield and the courts off Fairway. The Road department has completed 2 rounds through the township and collected 46 truckloads of leaves so far!!

Leaves in the gutter cannot be picked up when they are wet and/or it is raining. Leaves placed in the gutter get extra wet and cannot be sucked into the machine. Leaves in the gutter also cause ponding on the road, which can be a very dangerous condition for drivers. PLEASE PLACE LEAVES AT THE EDGE OF YOUR YARD, NOT THE GUTTER!!!

The Road department is out every weekday collecting leaves in the township (weather & leaf quantity permitting).

Remember to rake the leaves to the EDGE of the yard-NOT into the street!

Leaf collection will end December 2nd    Questions call 614-889-2669    Follow the Road department on Instagram (perry_township.road) and Twitter (Perry_township.road)
