Please do not feed any deer in your yards, folks! The Board of Trustees passed Limited Home Rule Resolution No 222-23 to prohibit the feeding of deer in Perry Township.
The resolution prohibits purposely feeding or making food available for consumption by deer on both private and public property within the Township. This includes the act of placing food for deer or a device to feed deer on the ground. This does NOT include naturally growing materials, planted materials growing in gardens or in lawns, or the use of unmodified, commercially purchased bird or squirrel feeders. You are not violating the resolution if pesky deer are eating from your vegetable garden or from your bird feeders!
