[ARCHIVED] Extreme Cold and Wind Forecasted Christmas Weekend

The National Weather Service is currently tracking a multi-hazard storm will bring strong winds, extreme cold, and possibly snow to central Ohio this weekend. Temperatures are expected to fall well below freezing and with a wind chill below zero. Please prepare for the severe cold and wind accordingly and be extra cautious if you are travelling this weekend.

AEP Ohio is encouraging residents to be prepared for the possibility of outages. Crews will work to restore any power outages as quickly and safely as possible. However, road conditions, linger wind gusts, and extreme wind chills could delay some restoration efforts. Updates will be provided thrrough the weather event at AEPOhio.com. If you see any downed wires or related hazards, please call 911 and AEP Ohio at 800-672-2231.
