JAMES M. ROPER

Jim is a life-long resident of Ohio having been born and raised in Youngstown. He received his undergraduate degree from Mount Union College and his law degree from Capital University where he was a member of the Law Review.

Since graduating from law school in 1986, Jim has been in private practice with the Columbus law firm of ISAAC, BRANT, LEDMAN & TEETOR, LLP where he has been a partner since 1994. He is listed in Who’s Who in America Law and has also received the highest national rating possible for both legal ability and ethics. He concentrates his practice in the area of civil litigation.

In November 2001, in his first run for public office, Jim led the ticket and was elected Perry Township Trustee. He was re-elected to a second four year term in November of 2005.

Jim and his wife, Kim, live in Worthington Hills with their sons, Drew and Matt, who attend Kilbourne High School. Jim previously served two terms as President of the Worthington Hills Civic Association.

Outside the practice of law and his duties as Trustee, Jim keeps busy as President of the Worthington Kilbourne Lacrosse Booster Club.
